Start where it feels easy.
No giant storage report to solve all at once. Just a short loop you can finish, pause, and come back to.
Pick files
Today's ten, recent files, Downloads, a folder, or your own filters.
Pick a tool
Swipe, Tap, Drop or Organize. Hold one to see how it works.
Decide calmly
One file at a time. Put one off for later, or just say it out loud.
Check, then apply
One button says exactly what happens: "Delete 4 · Frees 12 MB".
The tool should fit you.
No forced routine. Pick the one that makes the files in front of you feel simplest.
Swipe
One big file at a time. Swipe left or right, or tap the two buttons, and choose what each side does.
Best for fast passes through photos and clipsTap
A row of clear buttons for keep, delete, share, or your own folders. One tap per file, with sound and video playback.
Best for reviewing with sound or videoDrop
Your folders become boxes. Drag each file into its place and keep your folder structure in view.
Best for filing things where they belongOrganize
Pick files or a whole folder and the app sorts them into folders by type. You check the plan before anything moves.
Best for big cleanups you approve firstSmall tools that save real space.
Each one does a single job well, and each one asks before it changes anything.
Recovery
Deleted files wait in a private space for the days you choose. Preview them, restore them, or let them go.
Similar photos
Bursts and near-identical shots are grouped together. The sharpest one stays, and the rest go with one button.
Your apps
The apps you never open, with their size and last use. Android asks you to confirm each removal.
Voice commands
Say "keep", "delete", a folder's name or a button's number. Handy when your hands are busy.
Archives and documents
Look inside ZIP, 7z and tar files without unpacking them, and preview PDFs, documents and app installers.
Today's ten
The ten newest files on your phone, about a minute a day. Done for today, and back tomorrow if you like.
Speaks your language
The whole app, tool names included, in three languages. Arabic reads right to left.
Every screen, at a glance.
Real screens from the current version. Hover to pause.
Progress without the pressure.
The goal isn't the biggest possible number. It's making the next useful decision feel small enough to do.
Do a little.
Feel the difference.
Come back when another round feels useful. The app counts your progress, but never pushes you.
Your files are not an analytics product.
Sorting happens on your device. Optional usage and crash reports stay off until you turn them on, and never include file names, paths, previews or contents. The microphone, your apps list and usage access are only used when you turn those features on. No advertising.
Before you begin.
Is Smart File Organizer free?
Yes. The Android app is free, with no advertising, no purchases, and no subscription.
Does OrderlyApps upload my files?
No. Sorting processes files on your device. If you deliberately use Share or Open with, the app you pick receives that file under its own privacy terms.
Can I choose how many files to handle?
Yes. A round can start at the full source, and you can make it shorter whenever you want something quick.
Where do deleted files go?
Photos, videos and music go to your phone's own trash, which Google Files and your Gallery also show. Other files wait in a private Recovery space inside the app for the number of days you choose (30 by default). You can preview, restore, or delete them for good from Recovery at any time.
Can every deleted file be recovered?
No recovery system can guarantee that. It depends on the file, your Android version, and whether the recovery period or the phone's trash still holds it. Important files should also have an independent backup.
What file types can the app work with?
Photos, videos and music right away. With Android's "All files access", which you can turn on at any time, the app also finds PDFs, documents, archives and app installers anywhere on your phone. You can always pick individual files or folders yourself instead.
How do voice commands work?
Turn on the microphone in a sorting tool and say a button's name or number. Speech is recognised by your phone's speech service; depending on your phone, it may be processed by Google. The app only listens while the microphone button is on.
Which languages does the app speak?
English, French and Arabic (right to left). It follows your phone's language, and you can choose another one in Settings, under Appearance.
Ready for one small round?
Choose the files. Choose the tool. Stop when you want.
